The Scout Association of Nigeria (TSAN)

The Scout Association of Nigeria is the largest youth organization in the country and a proud member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). Nigeria officially joined WOSM in 1961 and has remained an active and enduring member ever since. Founded on the global principles established by Lord Robert Baden-Powell, the father of Scouting, the association focuses on developing young people into responsible citizens through leadership training, discipline, life skills, community service, outdoor adventure, and moral values. For decades, the Scout Association of Nigeria has continued to inspire millions of youths nationwide, helping them grow in character, service, and patriotism while contributing positively to their communities and the nation at large.

Our Programs

Scouting programs are tailored for individuals of all ages, aimed at developing skills, boosting confidence, and fostering a sense of community.

Cubs (5 -10 Years)

Scouts (11 - 17 Years)

This are young adults who lead, serve their communities, build skills, and pursue adventure with responsibility and purpose.

Air Scouts

For youths interested in aviation, building skills in navigation, safety, weather, radio and survival through adventure-based training.

For youth who love the sea—learn navigation, knots, safety and survival while building confidence, leadership and teamwork on the water.
